Family. Wine. Community.
In July of 2017, my beautiful niece Rose was born. A little blonde cherub, she arrived with a rare condition that severely limits her vision. At that time, I was well into a career in wine - as a sommelier, then brokering the world’s most elite bottles to collectors around the globe. Rose’s birth was an event that changed our close family as a whole, and it caused me to think about the legacy I want to leave.
I noticed that my lifestyle was changing, and my needs were changing as well.
My husband and I are both in the wine industry, and we were used to long work hours, travel, fine restaurants, and fancy wine. As we began a family, our priorities shifted.
Today we want to drink fabulous wine, but no more than a glass or two during an evening. With a one-year-old, both convenience and fridge space are at a premium. Sustainability is important, and I want a wine that reflects that value. Community participation is more vital now than ever, and there is no reason why wine can’t benefit others.
I noticed a dearth of wine brands that fit what I was looking for.
I knew two things:
1) I have the skillset to create a delicious product, and
2) I can create a brand that fulfills all I wish that a wine brand would.
Case in point:
All of the fruit that goes into Mini Vacay comes from premium, SIP-certified Pinot Noir vineyards on California’s Central Coast. When quality goes into a can, quality comes out.
-
Infinitely Recyclable
Each individual 250ml can is the portion of a generous 1.5 glasses. The aluminum can is infinitely recyclable. Did you know that packaging wine in a can produces up to 80% less carbon, compared to wine in glass bottles?
-
Compact and Convenient
Our 250ml cans easily fit into fridge drawers and backpacks! Whether it’s a single can, a 4-pack, or an 8-pack, the form factor takes up very little space, while still containing 1.5 glasses!
Mini Vacay donates 5% of profits to educational programs that support children with special needs. We participate in community groups and other charity gifting, year-round.

It’s not easy building a wine company, but I’m thrilled with how it’s going. Although my niece Rose’s vision is impaired, at 4 years old, she is in lockstep development with her peers. In our free time, my husband and I happily exhaust ourselves chasing after our son and German Shepherd. Sometimes, we love to enjoy a delicious can of wine together amidst the chaos.
I was lucky to have the opportunity to launch Mini Vacay, and I can’t wait to share it with you and yours.
Love, Tamara Franscioni
